Hang-out buddies: "Cool but why do you need another degree? This means we won't ever see you at weekend activities!"
Close friends : "Wow, that's awesome. Maybe you'll meet some great guy at the program! :)"
Other relatives : "WHAT! When will you ever get married??"

Impressed and wishing there were clin psych doctorates here on weekends. Would definitely do it without a second thought.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, it's always the "other relatives and family friends" that are more worried about the whole marriage shebang eh? When I went over last yr, parents were fine but other people kept asking about me 'settling down'.
Haha agree! I only wish they wouldn't try to worry my parents into thinking the same way..

I am in the same boat as you - though just taking classes. Also, I quit my job to get into a new field. I will be a UX Designer in few months (touchwood)! :)
